Delete your account
In the app (fastest)
- Open your Profile tab and tap the … menu, then Settings.
- Tap Delete account at the bottom and confirm with your password.
Your account is deactivated immediately and permanently deleted after a 14-day grace period. If you change your mind, log in during those 14 days and tap Cancel deletion.
Without the app
Email support@recipereel.app from the email address on your account with the subject “Delete my account”. We will confirm by reply and start the same 14-day deletion. If you cannot use that address any more, tell us your username and we will ask you to prove it is yours another way.
What gets deleted
Everything: your profile, recipes and photos, comments, likes, saved collections, grocery lists, messages you sent, follows, blocks, notifications, login sessions and push registrations. Replies other people wrote to your comments are removed with them. Encrypted backups can hold your data for up to 30 more days, after which it is gone for good. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
Want to keep your recipes?
Ask for a data export first (Settings, or the same email address) — you will receive your recipes, comments and profile in a machine-readable format before deletion starts.
